Arrowcraft use to offer a kit for the Ford Ranger. It's no longer offered as well. Custom Commercial Wheel lists parts for a dually Ford Ranger conversion. I've tried contacting them by email for more information, but have never received a reply. Conversion Parts:

there was a early ('82-'88) series 2wd ranger on a lot last summer that had the dually kit and a 302 in it, looks cute, but silly on a shortbed. i saw a s/c once that had the dually fenders but with really wide single rear tires. diesel? wished they would offer us one in about 200 c.i.d. the 6.9 (or other V8 ) would kill the front suspention.

1. The Dana 70 weighs ~500lbs. Heck the drums on older ones weigh almost as much as the 7.5 axle from your Ranger. Adding in 5 (4 + spare) 225/70R16 tires on steel dually rim from the 1 ton at ~100lbs apiece, and your Ranger basically has only couple hundred legal pounds left on GAWR.
