The Joan Miro lounge is a 3rd party lounge, meaning it is not managed by any airline or alliance. However, almost all business/first classes have access to it, as well as Star Alliance Gold members. I believe, based on the sign out front, every alliance member with status has access to this lounge, as well as Priority Pass members.

The lounge is also known as the AENA Miró Lounge according to the British Airways website. Other airlines that offer access to this lounge include OneWorld alliance members American, Qatar, Royal Jordanian, Iberia, LATAM, & S7. Star Alliance & Skyteam were also part of the massive list on the sign near the entrance.

The lounge is located in the non-Schengen part of Barcelona El Prat Airport's Terminal 1. This is the terminal used by British Airways and Iberia, as well as a number of other international airlines. I haven't previously flown out of Barcelona - only in - and was pleasantly surprised by the experience.

Overall, the Sala VIP Joan Miro lounge in Barcelona El Prat Airport is an excellent spot to relax before your flight or, dare I say it, even get some work done. The desk agent scanned my Priority Pass card - and the gate was under 5 minutes away. Perfect. We set down our luggage and checked it out.

The lounge beat our expectations and helped the two hours we had up to boarding time pass by very quickly.
