On the south, Pierre Herme (No. 72) also brings in crowds for its macarons. I consider these to be too sweet here but I like this pastry shop's chocolates. Herme stands close to Place Saint-Sulpice, one of my favorite areas of Paris. At the corner of the Place and Rue Bonaparte, Comptoir des Cotonniers offers stylish casual wear.
