Cheesy. What more could you ask for! Usually bacon wrapped dates are the thing this time of year, and people typically stuff them with a cream cheese mixture of sorts. They are delicious but I wanted to change it up. I absolutely love figs so I went that route and stuffed them with a homemade herb goat cheese mixture.

If using bacon: lay the bacon slices on a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil (for easy clean up). Bake for 15-25 minutes until crispy as desired. Transfer to a paper towel lined plate to cool. Once cooled, cut bacon slices into thirds. Crostini: spread the baguette slices on a separate baking sheet.

Heat your oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a rack on top. With a pairing knife, cut the figs 2/3 of the way down, leaving the ends still in tack. Finally, broil the wrapped figs on high on the top rack in the oven for 6-9 minutes, but keep a close eye on them!
