British Columbia On the lake are two popular recreation parks. The Tie Lake Regional Day Use Park and the Tie Lake Recreation Site, both, provide an opportunity to enjoy activities on the lake. Activities like swimming, canoeing, boating, fishing and water skiing. Tie Lake is located north of the village of Jaffray. The lake includes three arms and two recreation parks, one is a campground.

Jul. 2022. We visited this beach on a Sunday afternoon in July with our young granddaughter and family. The beach is small but wasn't crowded. There are picnic tables close to the sand and a sectioned off swimming area. Not far to walk from parking the car with all our beach things. There are changing rooms available and a basic but clean.

Directions. From Jaffray, take the Tie Lake Road to the north. The road forks at approximately 2 km. Take the right fork and the recreation site is on the left within 400 m from the juntion. A medium, partially treed site along the lakeshore at the south east end of Tie Lake. Popular for water related summer activities.

How to Get to Tie Lake from Fernie - Approx. 54km/45 minute drive. Drive south/west along Highway 3 from Fernie towards Cranbrook. Jaffray is a small town along the highway 30 minutes from Fernie. Take the Tie Lake Road turn off to the north, turn right when coming from Fernie direction. The road forks at approximately 2 km.
