Easy OIdfashioned Walnut Pie

Instructions. Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Stir together the syrup, eggs, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla in a medium bowl, using a fork or a whisk to combine everything smoothly, evenly and well. Mix in the black walnuts and stir well. Pour this filling into the piecrust and bake in the center of the 350 degree F oven, until the filling.

Remove the pan from the heat and set aside. In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk, eggs, and vanilla. Stir with a fork or a whisk to mix everything together well. Pour filling into the crust. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 60 minutes or until the center of the pie is no longer loose and black walnuts are browned.

1. Prepare 1/2 Nothing-in-the-House pie crust as per the directions. Chill for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Roll out pie crust and fit into greased and floured 9-inch pie pan. Flute crust decoratively. Line crust with parchment paper and fill with dried beans or pie weights. Bake for 10 minutes.

For the Filling. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place rack at the lowest position in your oven. In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add maple syrup, coconut sugar, melted butter and vanilla. Blend well.
